Sankashti Chaturthi Vrat
Sankashti Chaturthi is a sacred day dedicated to Lord Ganesha, observed on the Chaturthi Tithi of the Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight). It is believed that fasting on this day removes all troubles from life, which is why it is called 'Sankashti' (remover of difficulties).
This fast is unique because it is broken only after sighting the Moon and performing puja after Moonrise. Each month's Sankashti has a specific name and story, deepening the devotee's faith and the power of devotion to Lord Ganesha.
