Maa Kali Saturday Vrat Katha
In a large city, there lived a retired professor named Kalicharan. He lived with his wife, Sheela Devi, son Deepak, daughter Pooja, and daughter-in-law Durga. At the time of his retirement, Deepak was 22 years old and his daughter Pooja was 15 years old. After retirement, Kalicharan ji invested almost all his accumulated savings in house construction. Whatever money remained was spent on his son Deepak's marriage.
The financial condition of the house was such that although daughter Pooja had turned 22, there was no money for her marriage. Another obstacle was that there was a Mangal Dosha in Pooja's horoscope, so she was Manglik and it was necessary for the groom to also be Manglik for marriage with her.
One day, a friend of daughter-in-law Durga suggested her to observe the Maa Kali Saturday fast. Her friend said - "By observing the fast of Maa Kali for 9 Saturdays, all wishes are fulfilled by the grace of the Mother and obstacles are removed." All the family members were very unhappy and worried about Pooja's marriage. Therefore, the mother-in-law, daughter-in-law, and sister-in-law, all three decided to observe this fast.
They had observed only two Saturday fasts when, by the Mother's grace, Pooja got a good job. In just two months, due to Pooja's dedication and efficiency, she received a promotion along with a salary increase. Deepak was bearing the financial burden of the household. They started accumulating most of Pooja's salary for her marriage. Subsequently, Deepak also got a promotion.
One day, during a conversation, a colleague friend of Deepak said to him - "My uncle's son is Mangli, because of which it is very difficult to find a girl for his marriage. If a Manglik and virtuous girl is found, they will marry their son without any dowry."
Deepak went to his friend's uncle's house and met him and his son Shivkumar there. After meeting the friend's uncle and his son, Deepak came home and gave this good news to all the family members. Everyone was very happy with the hope of the daughter's marriage and expressed gratitude and thanks to Maa Kali.
On the following Sunday, Shivkumar's parents along with their family came to Deepak's house. Pooja brought refreshments etc. for them and conversation started between the two families. Discussion about marriage was going on between the two families. Shivkumar seemed suitable for marriage to Deepak's parents, wife, and Pooja. Shivkumar's father was also very impressed with Pooja, he said to Kalicharan ji - "We accept Pooja as our daughter-in-law, we don't want any dowry, we will take her with just one saree. You please get an auspicious time for marriage from the Pandit ji as soon as possible."
By the Mother's grace, this difficult task was accomplished within six months of the conclusion of Maa Kali's 9 Saturday fasts. In the evening, the whole family, while performing the ritual worship of Maa Kali, prayed for Pooja's obstacle-free marriage. After the puja, everyone requested Maa Kali for proper arrangements for the marriage and said - "O Mother! We all will observe your fast for 9 Saturdays with full faith. You have to make all the arrangements for the marriage."
Thereafter, all the family members began to remain constantly immersed in the devotion of Maa Kali. The whole family used to worship Maa Bhagwati Kali at both times. Pooja used to go to her job and every Saturday her parents and sister-in-law used to fast. Every Saturday they would pray to the Mother for Pooja's marriage and worship her with devotion. They would sing Mother's bhajans and regularly recite Maa Kali Chalisa, Stotra, etc.
One night, Bhagwati Kali appeared in Pooja's father's dream and said - "O son! You buy a lottery ticket tomorrow, you will get the first prize." In the morning, Pooja's father bought a lottery ticket according to the Mother's command and placed it at the feet of the Mother's idol. According to the Mother's words, Kalicharan got the first prize and before a month passed, he received an amount of 10 lakhs. Deepak also received his provident fund money. By now, Pooja's salary had also been collected. Therefore, Pooja's marriage was solemnized with great pomp and grandeur.
By the grace of Maa Kali, even after the marriage, a lot of money remained, with the help of which Kalicharan ji organized a grand Jagran of Maa Bhagwati. Most of the neighbors, relatives, and loved ones happily participated in that Jagran. Influenced by the direct miracle of Bhagwati Kalika, most of them started worshiping Maa Kali and observing the 9 Saturday fasts.
O Maa Kali! Just as you removed the troubles of Pooja and her family and provided them with happiness and prosperity and accomplished all tasks, in the same way, remove the troubles of all the devotees who recite and listen to this story and observe Maa Kali's fast for 9 Saturdays and provide them with happiness and prosperity. Victory to Maa Kali! Victory to Bhairav Baba!
